Meet the Choirs

We will workshop several peace songs from different eras in an informal community singing event lead by a small (2 or 3 singers) choir.

Nonviolent Seaford is one of Pace e Bene's Nonviolent Cities. We practice the principles and steps of Dr.Martin Luther King, Jr. in our efforts to create a culture of active nonviolence. We create Visionary Peace Youth Art, write peace poetry and paint peace rocks. Now we are looking forward to raising our voices with yours around the world. May the beauty and power of this sound wave bring peace to all people.

We’re going to put on about 45 minutes of songs that promote peace.

Community event

Our church has invited other local churches and the community to sign in the park downtown. Afterward, we are gathering for fellowship and ice cream.

On september 21st there is a Start to sing event in Antwerp, Belgium. A lot of choirs sing then in a parc (Rivierenhof) in the afternoon. At the end there is a singalong with everybody who is there, visitors and choirs. At 2o'clock PM we will sing What a wonderful world :-)

We are a community arts club that hosts pop-up choir and open mic events in Cartwright, Manitoba.

We are a small Christian community living a contemplative life in the north of New Zealand. Peace is the prayer on our lips daily. One of our beloved congregation suggested we participate in Sing for Unity. It coincides with the local bee club meeting at the monastery so we are hopeful to add some voices to our prayer for world peace. God bless you. Singing Mamas Basel is part of the Singing Mama network of groups around the world supporting female mental health

Since it is not possible for our choir to join at 14.00 h, we decided to sing all songs for peace and unity in our Sunday's catholic mass in our church at 11.00 h that day. In that way, we can join the initiative with our choir (although at a different hour) and all people celebrating the mass can also join our singing.

The Sisters in Harmony choir is an all female choir from the North East of England, led by our wonderful leader; Juliette Tate. We are singing at Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art.

The municipality of Skanderborg counts four libraries. In each of these houses we will welcome all singers to participate in a great choir - each accompanied by a professional pianist.

Our group will sing at the lovely Mary’s Point Shorebird Interpretive Centre. Three stone monuments in three languages represent the unity of our three main cultures: Mi’kmaq, Acadian, English. As we sing, our voices will carry across the land and inter-tidal zone to the waters of the Bay of Fundy.

Our church will be hosting an informal sing-along for our local town of Hampton, New Brunswick, Canada.

We’re inviting our local churches and community members to join us for a singalong of songs of peace and unity.

The choirs of St. Marks United Church of Christ and the house band of Community Music Alliance are partnering to sponsor this community sing-a-long event. All singers are welcome to join us on the back lawn of the church (weather permitting).

We were lucky to find out about this international event and are very eager to align with this initiative. It blends in perfectly at the start of the full peace-week (Belgium/Netherlands). Without giving away too much we hope for it to be the finale of a period with planned "vocal-guerrilla-style" appearances throughout the city.

Planning a Pop up Event for our local Community

We are a community choir who enjoy singing for local events. We sometimes join larger choirs to put on concerts. For this event we have chosen t go a “Hymn Fest” with our audience joining in with some of the hymns

We will gather to sing songs of peace and unity with members of the community as well as our singers.

We live in a multigenerational, multicultural community. I am going to invite all to meet at the community center!!!

We are joining with some other local community choirs to sing at the Minster church. We are a primary school choir with children aged 6-11.

The Balgarth Choir creates a fun environment where reading music doesn't matter!

We plan to sing our greatest hits to date with family , friends and community. Thank you for uniting us all!

2 community choirs from Aberdeenshire who often sing together to celebrate or commemorate events.

As a van living nomad, I will likely be in Brighton area or north of Birmingham. How about a zoom choir? Or a singing get together?

Chester is a tiny village but it has a decent choral history (no warblers here!).

We are a choir with students of the music academy of Wilrijk (a district of Antwerp) and we are going to sing at the event 'Start to sing' in Deurne.

We have a rehearsel for a new production calles 'JAJA' = 'YesYes' in English. In our production/show we sing about the good things of life but also about the struggle for justice, and about all the things that go wrong in the world in this life. But we keep on saying 'yesyes' to life, through pain and sorrow and in love and laughter.
